Progress


Let's see, what did I accomplish last night:
1. fixed the sensors - now they correctly remove the quests when you enter hyperspace
2. You begin the game at a nameless "point beyond the galaxy" now which you cannot return to
3. Created start sector, with trail of satellites that you can shoot (et@jo)
4. Now, quests update when you do them, as they should.
5. capsule graphic was 4x the size ti shoudl be, fixed that
6. added powerups that float and bounce (but move slowly) - they get picked up with a little purple "flash"

You arrive in moonbase, tutorials are gone,
except for moonbase


You dock with moonbase, you get a new quest:

What's already done

What's been done:
1. main ship, controls, thrust, weapons, all good
2. main radar, done
3. galaxy map (version 1) complete, with hyperspace drive
4. hazards: corsairs, commander, witch, ion storm, asteroids + bouncy collision, meteor shower
5. ai for bad guys
6. power control
7. explosions version 2 - with neat stuff flying out of it
8. 4 planets

Next Steps

What's left to do:
1. game start movie + game over/restart
2. hazards: black hole + UFO
3. make corsairs all over, with spawners (very hard to destroy)
4. the rest of quests to be built, by base (easy)
5. Money readout + interface (easy)
6. Trading interface
7. Powerups effects (easy)
8. sound effects.. need help!

Black hole: "tracks" flying towards the black hole which trap the ship and drag it along. You can only thrust in the angle of the track. All other thrusting not allowed (or does nothing.) If we wanted to do it quicker it could just fire gravitons like the space monster..
